Family Walks

Walks that are suitable for families with small children,
often with an ice cream or picnic stop!

Circular mile long pushchair friendly walk round the mill pond going past the tidal mill itself and round the stunning Carew castle. Next to the tidal mill is a small cafe, great for a coffee or ice cream before continuing your amble round.
From this picturesque, working woollen mill you can walk down a pretty valley footpath to a secluded pebble beach. Then back to the woollen mill for a look at the water wheel, coffee and cake.
Short 300m walk from Abereiddi beach car park up to the Blue Lagoon, a breached quarry. Daredevils are often to be seen launching themselves into the deep blue water!
0.6 miles each way along a flat pushchair friendly path. After parking at Pwllgwaelod car park next to a friendly pub and beach, walk along the path to Cwm Yr Eglwys, another small beach with a pretty church ruin.
The views along the coast are magnificent! Close to the car park are the steep steps down to the chapel, not suitable for pushchairs but worth a slow climb down!
Flat pushchair friendly walk along the beach front footpath through old railway tunnels. Once at Saundersfoot there are plenty of places for a cold drink or an ice cream!
A great mixture of grassy, tarmacked and muddy paths so perfect for children to run around! The full walk is 4.8 miles but with car parking at the start its fab for an amble and a picnic.
Beautiful drive past lovely traditional Pembrokeshire houses takes you to Strumble Head Lighthouse, can wander along the coast path or just take in the stunning scenery from by the lighthouse. Also has a permanent shelter for bird and dolphin spotting!
Picturesque working harbour with pretty houses and a lot of character. Lovely place for a stroll and also pushchair friendly.
