 Cattle Shed

One double and one bunk bedroom

Bursting with Welsh sea side charm Cattle Shed is a comfortable and quirky family two-bed cottage. With lots of character and celebrating all things Pembrokeshire the décor is designed to help you plan your time in Pembrokeshire, with photos of local sights and maps decorating the walls and a welcome pack brimming with ideas of places to visit, eat at and discover.

Cattle Shed's name is taken from the original use of the stone outbuilding and its layout of rooms off a long corridor, which with its rough stone walls still holds all the character of an old farm building.

​​Kitchen

Down shallow steps at the end of hallway is an open plan living area with fully equipped kitchen to help you cook up a storm. Including: induction hob and electric oven, all the utensils you could need, microwave, stick blender and a Nespresso machine. We set you up with everything you need to make teas and coffees on arrival so you can have a refreshing cuppa before you head out to explore.

The dining area is set up for 4 people in front of the all-important chalk board which can be used for anything from keeping track of scrabble scores to making a note of places you would like to visit during your stay.

​Living Area

Comfortable lounge area with three-seater sofa, arm chair and floor cushions. The TV has freeview channels, streaming apps and built in DVD player and there is a DAB radio so you can relax in comfort.

​We have books about the local area, DVDs and boards games. A cosy spot to relax, unwind and reminisce about your day’s adventures.

Double Bedroom

A master double bedroom with a traditional style metal bed, feather duvets, pillows and welsh blankets for a great night’s sleep after all that fresh air.

Hanging space and under bed storage for unpacking and you can make use of the Suitcase Parking in the laundry for any empty suitcases and bags.

Skylight window with electric black-out blinds and 
automatically close when it rains.

​Bunk Room

​The bunk room is full of fun with its L-shaped bunk beds, welsh wool bunting and seaside character. Beds are made up with feather pillows and duvets for an extremely comfortable night. 

Also set up with Giant Connect 4 because, well who doesn't enjoy a game of connect 4!

Bathroom

Off the hallway is a bright and airy family bathroom with full size steel bath and rainfall shower, with plenty of hot water to help you relax and unwind.

We provide fluffy white towels and robes for the whole family to ensure maximum comfort!

Outside space and facilities

Outside the front door is a bistro table and chair set perfect for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine.

The cottages have a communal garden set up with picnic tables looking across the fields where you can eat alfresco and are welcome to set up a barbeque. We have a swingball set for those with a competitive streak!


We have off-street gated parking outside the cottages.

Washfield Cottages has a communal laundry with free-to-use washer/dryers, a sink to wash down your muddy boots or sandy beach gear, secure bike storage, hanging space for wet-suits and outerwear.


We've has a fabulous time! The cottage has the perfect mix of homeliness and attention to detail to make it feel special. Highly recommend Stackpole National Trust - stunning! Grabbing a G&T sorbet from Fire and Ice in Narberth is a must. We will be back!  April '19
